This research paper aimed to identify one of the poles of the reformist press in Algeria, represented here in the personality of Ibrahim Abi Al- Yakdan, And that is by standing on the characteristics of journalistic writing that characterized his articles that were published in the El_Ouma newspaper, which is one of the most important newspapers he published during a sensitive period of Algerian history. The results of the research confirmed the diversity in the characteristics of journalistic writing for men, which varied between psychological characteristics and technical characteristics, which indicate that we are in front of a large media stature that was able to leave its mark in the world of Arab journalism in Algeria. Since the first instant of their occupation of the Algeria in 1830, the colonial authorities worked to annex Algeria: both the land and the people. Hence, the French administration intensified its efforts to tighten its grip on the country through taking a set of measures to achieve its colonial projects that included several fields among which the attempt to eliminate the Islamic religion through evangelization and evangelization. In effect, the missionaries have found in the newly colonized land favourable conditions to implement their policy and to bring it to success, such as the widespread of ignorance, illiteracy, poverty and the presence of French colonialism, which was cooperating with the clergymen.
