                <text>In this work, an experimental study of the effect of dust on the operation of photovoltaic solar panels was conducted in the Hodna region. For this, a monocrystalline type of solar panel was tested with a power of 100W. A quantity of dust was scattered for the first tests during the month of March 2022, then the voltage and current were measured. The second tests were conducted under outdoor M’sila conditions for two months. The results obtained show that the accumulation of dust on the surface of the panels reduces the passage of solar radiation on the one hand, and leads to a rise in the temperature of the panels on the other hand, which reduces the energy produced by the photovoltaic system. Therefore, periodic cleaning of photovoltaic solar panels is necessary.</text>

                <text>This paper describes a method for regulating the voltage of a DC bus of the hybrid power system pv/wind associated with storage devices. A hybrid energy storage system (HESS) that combines batteries and super capacitors (SCs) is an interesting solution. The batteries are employed to meet long-term energy requirements, while the using of SCs, to meet immediately the demand for instantaneous power. In this paper, we propose a new management strategy that manages energy flows between storage devices, by maintaining the SOC of super capacitor and the SOC of the batteries at acceptable levels and to reduce stress on batteries and improve their life cycle. the simulation results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed energy management strategy for the sudden change in power generation and load demand.</text>

                <text>In this work we present the results of the numerical simulation study of the electrical characteristics of a CIGS-based thin film and heterojunction solar cell and their interpretations. First, we will simulate two solar cells of structures: ZnO/CdS(n)/CIGS(p)/Mo and ZnO/ZnS(n)/CIGS(p)/Mo using the SCAPS-1D software. We will compare the results of the electrical simulation of the CdS cell with those found experimentally. Next, we will compare the electrical simulation results of the CdS cell with the ZnS cell. After that, we will choose the best cell to study the effect of doping and buffer/absorber layer thickness on the photovoltaic parameters () of the solar cell with the aim of achieving maximum efficiency of the CIGS-based solar cell.</text>

                <text>In this work, a maxi dual axis solar tracker is proposed. This tracker is used to track the sun path within a day and during a year. The tracking system is composed of two parts: mechanical and electrical parts. The mechanical part is composed of panel carrier, panel carrier rotator according to horizontal/vertical axis, two actuators. The electrical part is composed of light sensor, microcontroller, relays. The light sensor receives an artificial light and sends a potential difference as an analog signal to microcontroller. The microcontroller converts the analog signal into a digital signal using ADC and sends it to relays. The relays activate the two actuators to orient the maxi solar PV into the artificial light with the purpose to produce maximum energy.</text>

                <text>This paper discusses the modeling and control of a Standalone WECS-based PMSG, the aim is to achieve an optimal operation of the studied WECS under a typically stochastic wind environment. The Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) is guaranteed through the tracking of an optimal generator speed using an Improved Fuzzy Logic Controller (IFLC) based on intelligent algorithms. The effectiveness and the benefits of the proposed approach are demonstrated by numerical simulation using Matlab/SIMULINK. The obtained results indeed confirm a good tracking performance of the proposed controller.</text>

                <text>The objective of this work is to carry out a sizing program of the photovoltaic system isolated from the grid by determining the size of the subsystems that make up the photovoltaic generator, the batteries, the charge regulator and the transformers... etc. This depends on the energy consumed by the total loads, the average annual solar irradiation, and the characteristics of the module and battery as inputs. This program was realized in the form of a graphical interface. We will present as an applied example the sizing of a house located in the south of Algeria, in particular in Ghardaïa, and this program has been broadcast on other sites.</text>

                <text>We aim to enhance the efficiency of solar panels by covering them with graphene lenses that collect and concentrate light rays onto the panels. The simulation was performed using the Monte Carlo method and provided precise results regarding the improvement of solar panel performance. The simulation showed a substantial increase in the intensity of electrical current at critical densities of the graphene lenses used, suggesting the need for further research to enhance the utilization of renewable energy sources, even in regions with limited sun exposure and varying weather conditions.</text>

                <text>The main goal of this work is to control the terminal voltage of a Self-excitation induction generator (SEIG) that supplies autonomous load and is driven by a variable speed wind turbine. More advanced strategies of control have been suggested and applied these through a two-level converter. However, in this paper, we propose to study a modified DTC approach which based on the use of three-level converter (NPC structure) and instead of the traditional PI controller, we use a PI fuzzy controller to reduce torque and flux ripples, the induction generator's stator flux and electromagnetic torque are controlled using voltage space vector selection. The proposed control strategy has to maintain constant DC bus voltage regardless of load or wind speed variations. Finally, it should be noted that this control accounts for the induction generator's magnetic saturation phenomenon.</text>

                <text>We conducted, in this work, a three-dimensional numerical study of forced convection heat transfer of a laminar flow of water passing through micro-channels with and without longitudinal vortex generator, using the CFD code “Ansys- Fluent”. This work aimed to elucidate the effect of vortex generators on the dynamic and thermal behavior of the micro-fluidic flow. The results obtained show that the increase in the Reynolds number leads to an improvement in the quality of heat transfer in both cases of the study. Rectangular micro-channel with LVG can improve heat transfer compared to smooth rectangular micro-channel while consuming more pressure drop. In the range of Reynolds numbers between 200 and 1200, a 2-21% increase in the mean Nusselt number was observed for micro-channels with LVG compared to smooth micro-channels. This occurs through better mixing of the fluid, reduction in the thickness of the thermal boundary layer, and increased heat transfer area. In addition, the friction factor has been increased by more than 50% compared to smooth micro-channels, due to the local resistance of LVGs and the presence of secondary flows.</text>

                <text>Cavitation is a physical phenomenon that often occurs in hydraulic machines such as pumps, valves, and turbines. Although the Banki-Michell turbine has been used for a long time in small hydropower, no study related to this phenomenon of cavitation in the injector of this turbine has been done. In this study, we will present the results of a numerical study carried out in the nozzle of a Banki-Michell turbine. The numerical solution of the Navier Stokes cavitation equations of the Banki-Michell turbine injector was carried out considering a 2D geometry of the injector-rotor assembly. The simulation results showed that the cavitation phenomenon appears when the water flow area in the nozzle becomes less than 50%. Furthermore, the results also showed that the occurrence of this cavitation phenomenon in the injector is more likely at higher operating heads. The results of an experimental study of the geometry of the injector showed that the height of the water passage section varies linearly with the degree of opening of the stator valve.</text>
