    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[<a href="/dx/items/browse?advanced%5B0%5D%5Belement_id%5D=41&advanced%5B0%5D%5Btype%5D=is+exactly&advanced%5B0%5D%5Bterms%5D=Unlike+black+surfaces%2C+calculation+of+radiation+exchange+for+grey-diffuse+surfaces+is+generally+considered+too+complex.+This+is+because+a+grey+surface+is+not+a+perfect+absorber+as+for+a+black+surface.+As+radiation+leaves+a+surface%2C+it+travels+to+the+other+surfaces+whereby+it+is+absorbed+partially+and+is+then+reflected+many+times+in+between+with+partial+absorption+at+each+contact+with+a+surface.+Therefore%2C+a+proper+analysis+of+the+problem+must+take+into+account+of+these+multiple+reflections.+The+existing+methods+of+analysis+can+be+classified+into+two+categories%3B+those+which+do+not+take+into+account+of+the+multiple+reflections+for+more+than+two+surfaces%2C+and+those+which+account+for+these+multiple+reflections+but+they+are+only+applicable+for+enclosures+and+are+not+fully+reliable+in+implementation.+This+first+part+of+the+paper+presents+a+method+of+analysis+for+the+exact+calculation+of+radiant+heat+transfer+between+two+grey-diffuse+surfaces+due+to+the+interaction+of+up+to+four+surfaces+whereby+multiple+reflections+of+radiation+are+accounted+for.+This+is+based+upon+two+concepts%3B+the+arborescent+diagrams+and+the+infinite+series+algebra.+Complementary+work+for+the+understanding+of+this+part+is+presented+in+the+second+part+of+the+paper.">Unlike black surfaces, calculation of radiation exchange for grey-diffuse surfaces is generally considered too complex. This is because a grey surface is not a perfect absorber as for a black surface. As radiation leaves a surface, it travels to the other surfaces whereby it is absorbed partially and is then reflected many times in between with partial absorption at each contact with a surface. Therefore, a proper analysis of the problem must take into account of these multiple reflections. The existing methods of analysis can be classified into two categories; those which do not take into account of the multiple reflections for more than two surfaces, and those which account for these multiple reflections but they are only applicable for enclosures and are not fully reliable in implementation. This first part of the paper presents a method of analysis for the exact calculation of radiant heat transfer between two grey-diffuse surfaces due to the interaction of up to four surfaces whereby multiple reflections of radiation are accounted for. This is based upon two concepts; the arborescent diagrams and the infinite series algebra. Complementary work for the understanding of this part is presented in the second part of the paper.</a>]]></dcterms:description>

Over shading of the windows reduces daylighting, which results in an increased energy use for artificial lighting. This article investigates the impact of overhangs on incident solar radiation and daylight quality and quantity in office rooms under specific sky conditions of Algeria. The impact on incident solar radiation is analysed through a computer program written in Visual Microsoft Fortran according to an algorithm reported in reference [1], which is corrected according to the average sky condition of the analysed site. The impact on daylight quantity and quality is investigated through simulations with the program “Leso-D.I.A.L” [2], and evaluated in terms of necessary illumination level on the working plane. For purposes of theoretical study, the considered office is orientated to the south east direction wherefrom considerable quantities of solar radiations are received in summer, and also the day light is fairly diffused in the summer days in the northern latitudes. We use the term “geometrical shading coefficient” (GSC) to express the ratio between overhang and window area.</a>]]></dcterms:description>

Une superposition de puits et de sources a permis de traiter analytiquement le problème de Darcy correspondant à une injection ponctuelle et un point de drainage localisé et elle a donné une illustration des lignes de courant, du champ de vitesse ainsi que la forme du bulbe d’irrigation. Pour interpréter le phénoméne de l’élution de la solution ancienne par l’apport de solution nouvelle, l’équation de Navier-Stokes associée à une équation de dispersion a été résolue.</a>]]></dcterms:description>

Cette technique a permis de suivre l’évolution des propriétés électroniques, avant et après hydrogénation en phase gazeuse in situ, au cours de différents maintiens en température. Cette étude montre que l’hydrogénation in situ du composé intermétallique CeNi2 conduit à des résultats similaires à ceux obtenus par hydrogénation cathodique. Des modifications notables dans la structure électronique (niveaux de coeur, densité d’état au niveau de Fermi) ont été observées par photoémission X sur la surface du composé intermétallique CeNi2 après hydrogénation. Le maintien en température conduit à une décontamination de la surface. La présence d’hydrogène favorise la ségrégation du cérium à température élevée sur la surface de CeNi2.</a>]]></dcterms:description>

Durant ces dernières décennies les performances de ces cellules ont été nettement améliorées. Dans le présent travail, on a simulé une cellule solaire de type GaAs à l’aide d’un nouveau logiciel (SCAPS) afin d’analyser certains paramètres. En particulier les propriétés de la couche fenêtre (épaisseur, dopage, … ) jouent un rôle primordial dans les performances de la cellule, et afin de les optimiser, on a étudié leur influence sur les grandeurs photovoltaïques de la cellule solaire. Dans le but de mettre en évidence l’importance de la déposition d’une couche fenêtre du type Ga1-xAlxAs sur les cellules solaires au GaAs, une comparaison entre deux cellules, l’une sans couche fenêtre, l’autre avec une couche fenêtre, a été faite. La déposition d’une couche antireflet montre une amélioration importante s’ajoute aux avantages de la couche fenêtre. Le rendement énergétique enregistré est passé de 15.68% dans une cellule au GaAs à 23.67% pour une cellule Ga1-xAlxAs/GaAs avec une couche antireflet double du type MgF2-ZnS. Les résultats obtenus sont en très bon accord avec les résultats expérimentaux publiés.</a>]]></dcterms:description>

Le pompage de l’eau à l’aide de l’énergie solaire photovoltaïque est une solution bien adaptée pour ces régions. En effet, la majorité de ces régions sont très ensoleillées et l’eau est disponible dans des nappes souterraines peu profondes. Dans cet article, nous avons déterminé les performances électriques, hydrauliques et les coûts des systèmes de pompage disponibles sur le marché algérien. La modélisation et la simulation de fonctionnement des systèmes de pompage photovoltaïque ont été effectuées en se basant sur l’expérimentation.</a>]]></dcterms:description>

L’alimentation en électricité se fait par des cellules photovoltaïques et l’alimentation en vapeur est assurée par une centrale solaire à concentration. La simulation numérique de la production d’hydrogène, pour l’installation proposée, est faite en se basant sur les équations caractéristiques régissant l’électrolyse de l’eau, les panneaux photovoltaïques et la centrale solaire à concentration. Le taux de production d’hydrogène est déterminé pour des valeurs différentes du rayonnement solaire et pour différents sites du pays. Les résultats obtenus par le code de calcul établi et dont le but recherché est la détermination des conditions les plus favorables pour une meilleure production d’hydrogène, sont présentés et discutés.</a>]]></dcterms:description>

One reason is the attraction of “newer” areas like computer engineering, which seem to excite the students more and pay higher starting salaries. In this difficult context, a significant educational investment is necessary to excite the students and entice them into Power Engineering. An area that students universally find interesting is alternate energy systems based on a renewable energy supply like wind. What is interesting with this area is that it includes the fundamental material that already exists in many energy conversion courses. Therefore, in this paper the authors present the development of a wind turbine prototyping software under Matlab/Simulink® through undergraduate student projects within the Electrical and Computer Engineering Professional Institute (IUP GEII) at Amiens, France [1]. This software was developed by a group of three students of the Institute third and final year. Les raisons sont bien connues: la réponse aux contraintes environnementales, aux problèmes posés par la production centralisée d’électricité, la nécessité d’avoir des alternatives énergétiques (vecteur hydrogène) et certaines exigences technologiques spécifiques telles que les applications spatiales, sous-marines, électroniques portables, alimentation électrique de sites isolés et de microsystèmes. Il est certain que nous assisterons dans les prochaines décennies à l’émergence de la filière hydrogène dans notre vie quotidienne comme vecteur énergétique. Le choix de la technologie des piles à combustible à membrane échangeuse de protons (PEMFC) est implicite vu les performances intéressantes (faible poids, robuste, électrolyte solide, démarrage rapide, large gamme de puissance de 1 W à10 MW, etc.). Il est donc important de pousser encore plus loin les efforts de recherche/développement autour de cette technologie pour pouvoir la maîtriser et étendre son application. Cet article présente les résultats de la modélisation de la cinétique électrochimique et la production électrique des piles à combustible PEMFC alimentée directement en gaz pur (hydrogène et oxygène) et la validation expérimentale grâce à une base de données établie au niveau du ‘’Laboratoire d’Hydrogène en Réseau – CDER‘’, dans le but d’exploiter et d’améliorer les modèles électrochimiques existants.</a>]]></dcterms:description>
