                <text>Architectural ornaments, used as decorative elements, are made of stone; but most of their components contain gypsum. It is found that the deterioration of ornaments is attributed to water penetration, biological colonization, micro and macro cracking and partial and (or) complete detachment from their supports. Many rehabilitation operations of architectural ornaments have failed to use the appropriate material for the needs of the project. The use of construction waste, particularly used brick, is currently widespread for such operations. For an efficient and sustainable use of these materials, an experimental study was conducted to investigate the influence of the content of waste brick on the physical and mechanical properties of gypsum mortar. The main variables in this study being the waste brick content and the substrate type. The Water/Mortar&amp;nbsp; ratio of all mixes was kept constant to maintain a similar level of workability. Numerous tests were performed to evaluate the physical and mechanical behavior of the gypsum mortars, including bond test, X-ray and SEM analysis. The results obtained show that the bond strengths of the mortars are greater when the substrate is made of limestone compared to the substrate made of bricks. However, an excessive percentage of brick waste in the mortar can have negative effects and reduce the bond strength. Plaster mortars made with 75% waste brick should be recommended for the rehabilitation of architectural ornaments.</text>

                <text>Les ornements architecturaux, utilisés comme éléments décoratifs sont fabriqués en pierre&amp;nbsp;; mais la plupart de leurs composants contiennent du gypse. Il est constaté que la détérioration des ornements est attribuée à la pénétration de l'eau, à la colonisation biologique, à la micro et macro-fissuration et au détachement partiel et complet de leurs supports. De nombreuses opérations de réhabilitation des ornements architecturaux n'ont pas réussi à utiliser le matériau approprié pour les besoins du projet. L'utilisation des déchets de construction, en particulier la brique usagée, est actuellement largement répandue pour de tels opérations. Pour une utilisation efficace et durable de ces matériaux, une étude expérimentale a été menée pour examiner l'influence du contenu des déchets de briques sur les propriétés physiques et mécaniques du mortier de plâtre. Les principales variables de cette étude étant la teneur en briques usagées et le type de substrat. Le rapport Eau/Mortier de tous les mélanges a été maintenu constant afin de conserver un niveau d'ouvrabilité similaire. De nombreux tests ont été effectués pour évaluer le comportement physique et mécanique des mortiers de plâtre, y compris le test d'adhérence, la radiographie et l'analyse MEB. Les résultats obtenus montrent que les forces d'adhérence des mortiers sont plus importantes lorsque le substrat est fait de calcaire par rapport au substrat fait de briques. Cependant, un pourcentage excessif de déchets de briques dans le mortier peut avoir des effets négatifs et réduire la force d'adhésion. Les mortiers de plâtre fabriqués avec 75 &amp;nbsp;% de briques usagées doivent être recommandés pour la réhabilitation des ornements architecturaux.</text>

                <text>Understanding a species’ current and future potential habitat is crucial to design its policy for management and cultivation practices that are more resilient in the face of climate change. This study assessed the present-day distribution and predicted the potential effect of climate change on the distribution of Anacardium occidentale’s habitat in Togo under two Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP4.5 and RCP8.5) by 2055. Maximum Entropy algorithm, 2538 species occurrence records, and a combination of 23 climate- and soil-related variables were used. Soil, isothermality, temperature seasonality, and annual precipitation are the most significant environmental factors affecting the distribution of the species in Togo. Based on the current model, 54.45% of the Togolese landscape is favourable for cashew development, mainly in the plains of Guinean and Sudanese savannahs. Unfavourable areas (15.20%) are in the southern mountainous areas of Togo and coastal areas. An increase in favourable areas and a slight decrease in unfavourable and moderately favourable areas are predicted by 2055, considering the two scenarios.</text>

Cette étude a évalué la distribution actuelle et prédit l'effet potentiel du changement climatique sur la distribution de l'habitat d'Anacardium occidentale au Togo sous deux trajectoires de concentration représentatives (RCP4.5 et RCP8.5) d'ici 2055. L'algorithme d'entropie maximale, 2538 enregistrements d'occurrence d'espèces et une combinaison de 23 variables liées au climat et au sol ont été utilisés. Le sol, l'isothermie, la saisonnalité de la température et les précipitations annuelles sont les facteurs environnementaux les plus significatifs affectant la distribution de l'espèce au Togo. Sur la base du modèle actuel, 54,45% du paysage togolais est favorable au développement de l'anacarde, principalement dans les plaines des savanes guinéennes et soudanaises. Les zones défavorables (15,20%) se situent dans les zones montagneuses du sud du Togo et dans les zones côtières. Une augmentation des zones favorables et une légère diminution des zones défavorables et modérément favorables sont prévues d'ici 2055, en considérant les deux scénarios.</text>

                <text>Destabilization of ultra-high temperature (UHT) milk (140 °C, 4s) in the form of gel or sediment may occur during storage. Thisphenomenon is a real industrial and scientific problem that could be caused by milk proteolysis and lipolysis. This study aimed to study the influence of storage conditions (time, temperature) on the quality of UHT milk produced under industrial conditions. The physicochemical characteristics of these different kinds of milk, including composition and stability as assessed by phosphate test, were determined. UHT heat treatment of milk resulted in a change in pH, acidity, and stability derived from phosphate test, as well as in a drop in psychrophilic bacteria counts. Proteolytic and lipolysis activities also decreased with UHT treatment. However, during UHT milk storage for 6 months, the milk proteolytic activity increased, and in consequence, an increase in acidity and non-casein nitrogen values was observed. Moreover, lipolytic activity was higher in milk stored at 30 °C, as compared to the milk kept at 4 °C. In addition, the stability values increased during UHT milk storage at 30 °C. Stability was inversely correlated with milk fat and acidity (p&amp;lt;0.05). Furthermore, it showed a strong relationship with proteolysis (r=0.765), but no significant relationship was found with lipolysis. The analysis of the sediment of UHT milk stored for 6 months showed levels of fat (15 %), proteins (40 %) and lactose (42 %). The composition of the sediment illustrated the complexity of the formation process.</text>

                <text>La déstabilisation du lait à ultra-haute température (UHT) (140 °C, 4s) sous forme de gel ou de sédiment peut se produire pendant le stockage. Ce phénomène est un réel problème industriel et scientifique qui pourrait être causé par la protéolyse et la lipolyse du lait. Cette étude visait à étudier l'influence des conditions de stockage (temps, température) sur la qualité du lait UHT produit dans des conditions industrielles. Les caractéristiques physico-chimiques de ces différents types de lait, y compris la composition et la stabilité évaluée par le test du phosphate, ont été déterminées. Le traitement thermique UHT du lait a entraîné une modification du pH, de l'acidité et de la stabilité dérivée du test au phosphate, ainsi qu'une baisse du nombre de bactéries psychrophiles. Les activités protéolytiques et lipolytiques ont également diminué avec le traitement UHT. Cependant, pendant le stockage du lait UHT pendant 6 mois, l'activité protéolytique du lait a augmenté, et en conséquence, une augmentation des valeurs d'acidité et d'azote non caséine a été observée. De plus, l'activité lipolytique était plus élevée dans le lait conservé à 30 °C que dans le lait conservé à 4 °C.                 <text>In this study we are interested in the recovery of some orange peel varieties from the region of Bejaia (Washington, Thomson, Double Fine, Portuguese, Jaffa, Sanguinelli and Bitter). Thus, we carried out a phytochemical study which enabled us to demonstrate the richness of the peel in bioactive compounds (terpenoids, sugars and mucilage). We also extract the essential oils from the fresh peel by steam distillation. The Jaffa variety is the richest in essential oils, with a yield of 1.48%. Thomson variety proved to be the lowest of essential oils with a yield of 0.39%. We tested radical scavenging activity of essential oils extracted from peels of the studied varieties. Double fine variety has the most interesting antioxidant activity (74.46%). The chromatographic analysis of Double fine essential oils by GC-MS identified ten components of which limonene is the major constituent (89.81%).</text>

                <text>Dans la présente étude nous nous sommes intéressées à la valorisation des écorces de quelques variétés d’oranges provenant de la région de Bejaia (Washington, Thomson, Double fine, Portugaise, Jaffa, Sanguinelli et Bigarade). De ce fait nous avons procédé à une étude phytochimique qui nous a permis de mettre en évidence la richesse des écorces en composés bioactifs (composés phénoliques, terpènoïdes, sucres et mucilages). Nous avons également extrait les huiles essentielles à partir des écorces fraiches par hydrodistillation. La variété Jaffa s’avère la plus riche en huiles essentielles, nous avons enregistré un rendement de l,48 %. La variété Thomson s’est avéré la plus pauvre en huiles essentielles avec un rendement de 0,39 %. La variété Double fine présente l’activité antioxydante la plus intéressante (74,46 %). L’analyse chromatographiques des huiles essentielles de Double fine par GC-MS a permis d’identifier dix composants dont le limonène est le constituant majoritaire (89,81 %).</text>

                <text>This study was carried out to assess the chemical composition, antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of Eucalyptus citriodoraessential oil growing in Algeria. The chemical composition of the oil was analyzed by GC and GC/MS and revealed the presence of 22 compounds which accounted for 97.13 % of the oil. The main compounds was Citronellal (69.77 %) followed by Citronellol (10.63 %) and Isopulegol (4.66 %). Antioxidant activity was evaluated by using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay. The free radical scavenging activity of the oil was found to be inferior (IC50 values = 0.896 mg/ml) as compared to butylatedhydreoxytoluene (BHT), (IC50 value = 0.041 mg/ml). The antimicrobial activity of Eucalyptus citriodora essential oil against twelve bacteria and two yeasts was determined via both the disc diffusion method and the Disc volatilization method. Higher antimicrobial activity was observed in the liquid phase. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) was found to vary from 0.6 to 20 µl/ml for bacteria while for yeasts it was equal to 1.25 µl/ml. The most sensitive strains were the Gram positive bacteria Staphylococcus epidermidis and the two yeasts while the most resistant bacterium was Pseudonomas aeruginosa. This is the first report on the antioxidant and antimicrobial properties of the essential oil of Eucalyptus citriodora growing in Algeria.</text>

L'activité antimicrobienne de l'huile essentielle d'Eucalyptus citriodora contre douze bactéries et deux levures a été déterminée par la méthode de diffusion en disque et la méthode de volatilisation en disque. Une activité antimicrobienne plus élevée a été observée dans la phase liquide. La concentration minimale inhibitrice (CMI) varie de 0,6 à 20 µl/ml pour les bactéries, tandis que pour les levures, elle est égale à 1,25 µl/ml. Les souches les plus sensibles étaient les bactéries Gram positives Staphylococcus epidermidis et les deux levures, tandis que la bactérie la plus résistante était Pseudonomas aeruginosa.                 <text>512 one-day chicks male, of the Arbor Acres strain were weighed and distributed according to their initial body weight through four classes of 128 chicks (4 repetitions of 32 subjects per class): light chicks (l &amp;lt;40 g), medium chicks (M: 40 – 45 g), heavy chicks (L&amp;gt; 45 g), and witness chicks (T: weight mix). The four classes of animals had free access to food and water. The results show that the body weight of the batch of heavy chicks was statistically strongest at the age of 7 days (+ 8 %, P &amp;lt;0.01), 14 days (+ 7%, P &amp;lt;0.004) and 42 days (+ 3 %, P&amp;lt;0.001). The results of the feed consumption of the heavy and medium chicks were also marked by a significant improvement of this parameter at the age of 7 days (-6 %, P = 0.004) and 14 days (-4 % P = 0.03). On the other hand, chicken from light chicks showed lower performances, regardless of the stage of rearing or the parameter studied.</text>

Les résultats montrent que le poids vif réalisé par le lot de poussins lourds a été le plus performant statistiquement à l’âge de 7 jours (+8 %; P&amp;lt;0,01), de 14 jours (+7 %; P &amp;lt; 0,004) et 42 jours (+3 %; P&amp;lt;0,001). Les résultats de l’indice de consommation des lots de poussins lourds et moyens ont également été marqués par une amélioration significative de ce paramètre à l’âge de 7 jours (-6 %; P = 0,004) et de 14 jours (-4 %; P = 0,03). Par ailleurs, le poulet issu du lot des poussins légers a enregistré des performances de production inférieures, quels que soient la phase d’élevage ou le paramètre étudié.</text>

                <text>This work focuses on a comparative analysis of the effect of three cultivation techniques and direct seeding for the establishment of a fodder crops, on soil physical properties and the consequences on fodder sorghum growth and crop yield. To answer this problem, an analysis of the various parameters related to the soil (moisture and penetrometer resistance) and others related to the development of culture (the emergence-stand, tillering, the height and diameter of the stems, yields of green fodder and dry matter) has been done. As regards lifting-settlement the rates of lifting obtained are directly related to the technique used: the technique of the direct drilling seems to offer the best rate of lifting with 85 %; more the low level being realized with the technique of simplified work with only 67 %. As for the outputs, best are recorded with the technique of conventional work and are of 90.11 T/ha into green matter and 36.64 T/ha in dry matter for proportion 1 and 87, 22 T/ha into green matter and 33,83T/ha in ms for proportion 2. Most poor yield is recorded with the technique of the direct drilling and is respectively of 42, 11 T/ha into green matter and 11.23 T/ha in ms for proportion 1 and 87.22 T/ha into green matter and 33.83 T/ha in dry mater for proportion 2. In spite of a low level of loss to germination, approximately 15 %, the weakest output was obtained on the level of the direct seeding.</text>

                <text>Ce travail porte sur une analyse comparative de l’effet de trois techniques culturales et le semis direct, pour la mise en place d’uneculture fourragère, sur les propriétés physiques du sol et les conséquences sur le développement et le rendement de la culture du sorgho fourrager. Pour répondre à cette problématique, une analyse des différents paramètres liés au sol (Humidité et la résistance mécanique à la pénétration) et d’autres liés au développement de la culture (la levée-peuplement, le tallage, la hauteur et le diamètre des tiges, les rendements en fourrage vert et matière sèche) a été effectuée. En matière de levée-peuplement les taux de levée obtenus sont directement liés à la technique utilisée : la technique du semis direct semble offrir le meilleur taux de levée avec 85 %; le plus faible taux étant réalisé avec la technique du travail simplifié avec seulement 67 %. Quant aux rendements, les meilleurs sont enregistrés avec la technique du travail conventionnel et sont de 90,11 T/ha en MV et 36,64 T/ha en MS pour la dose 1 et 87,22 T/ha en MV et 33,83T/ha en MS pour la dose 2.                 <text>The phenology of wild cherry in the Northwest of Tunisia was studied over the year 2013. The phenological events reserved are theleafing, the flowering and the fruiting. The observation of the various phenological phases of this species (bud burst, blossoming orfruiting) reveals a variation inter-site and intra-site. The precocity reveals for the sites of Tabarka (Hamdia and Kroufa) can give someexplanation of differences of edaphic and topographic characteristics. The analyses of variances show that the duration of the various phenological phases of the wild cherry is significantly connected with the geographical localization of sites. The differences observed within the same site can give some explanation by the genetic variability of trees. These results open perspectives for the valuation and the genetic preservation of this commercial species in the northeast of Tunisia.</text>

Les analyses de variances montrent que la durée des différentes phases phénologiques du merisier est liée significativement avec la localisation géographique des sites. Les différences observées au sein d’un même site peuvent s’expliquer par la variabilité génétique des arbres. Ces résultats ouvrent des perspectives pour la valorisation et la conservation génétique de cette espèce commerciale au nord-ouest de la Tunisie.</text>

                <text>The aim of our experimental work is to propose a tool model that could be used as a predictive tool to obtain a good welding of polymers like HDPE by the FSW technique or a linear welding of thin flat plates. A series of experimental tests concerning this type of welding (FSW) have been carried out with different types of tools depending on the optimal welding parameters such as feed speed, rotation speed, geometric shape of the tool, ... etc. Satisfactory results were obtained showing the influence of these parameters on the joint quality.</text>

                <text>In the field of engineering the matrices reinforced by synthetic fibers have become widely used in view of the high specific stiffness and resistance they offer. The main objective of this work is to simulate and analyze the mechanical behavior of a multilayer composite pipe for different fiber orientation angle. A finite element numerical model (MEF) under ANSYS has been developed to determine the displacement fields for a multilayer pipe under internal pressure. Subsequently, a parametric study was carried out to enhance the effect of the mechanical and geometrical characteristics of the materials constituting the multi-layer pipe. From the results obtained, it was found that the displacement fields are clearly influenced by the orientations of the composite layers.</text>
