The objective of this study aims to valuing this wealth of bioactive molecules of prickly pear and increase its consumption in the form of cocktails with orange juice. A stabilisation treatment by heat, weakly affects polyphenols rate which decreases from 10.5% for cocktail of 30%. The loss is 12% in the prickly pear juice. However, the vitamin C content decreases from 25 to 29% following thermal treatment at 85°C for 30 min for the orange juice and prickly pear juice. Thermal treatment of these juices showed that the antioxidant activity decreases. It is 16% in the presence of 30% of prickly pear juice. During storage the loss of vitamin C is 25% in the presence of 30% pear juice; the loss in polyphenol is low. Microbiological quality control showed the effectiveness of pasteurisation at 85°C. Valorisation in the form of natural cocktail juice is particularly interesting due to the contribution of bioactives compounds. It showed acceptable sensory quality.</text>

<text>This work aimed at investigating the diet of Little Egret (Egretta garzetta) chicks in a breeding colony at the Boughrara Lagoon, insoutheastern Tunisia. Using the regurgitate analysis method; we described the diversity of preys consumed by the chicks. We also sampled available preys in the hunting areas of adult egrets, which allowed us to compare the composition of chicks' diet with the range of preys available in the area. Our results show that chicks are exclusively fed on small fishes, mainly the striped seabream (Lithognathus mormyrus) and European seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax). These two preys are more abundantly consumed than is predicted by their availability, which suggests that they are preferential preys. However, deeper analyzes suggest that this prey selection process is related to prey size. Indeed, we have found that a fish should have a weight less than 14.74 g to be a potential prey for chicks. Juveniles of the Striped seabream and European seabass are the most consumed fishes simply because their sizes are below this threshold, making them preys well adapted to chick size. This is also supported by the positive relationship found between prey weight and chick age. As the chicks grow up, their parents feed them with larger preys. Direct observations on the hunting behavior of adult egrets would be needed to address in more details the issue of prey selection for chick feeding.</text>

<text>The hospital architectural space, especially the reception and waiting area, by its nature, is a sensitive and quite complex place. In Algeria, this space presents a panoply of problems of a societal, functional, spatial, ambiental, visual and human nature. The issue of user comfort and particularly that of visual comfort remains problematic. The objective of this work is to propose a model of qualification of the degree of visual comfort of users generated from ten selected physical parameters obtained, on the one hand through the characterization of the quality of the lighting environment, it is the case of "the luminance / contrast of luminances, and the five indices of the annoying glare (DGP1, VCP2, UGR3, DGI4 and CGI5)", and on the other hand through the characterization of the visibility according to four properties of the isovists "surface, perimeter, occlusivity and compactness" obtained from the syntactic analysis "isovist". The corpus of study gathers nineteen scenes reflecting the reception and waiting spaces of the emergency, general surgery and internal medicine departments in three hospitals in Setif6 (Algeria). The main tool of investigation was a software simulation based on graphic and visual supports: plans and HDR photographs of the studied spaces recorded during the summer period. The results show that the space is the main factor that conditions the visual comfort of the users and influences their degree of satisfaction, as they confirm that the proposed model has proved that the space and its configuration present the raw material that must be mastered and controlled upstream in order to control the luminous atmosphere and the visibility. We judge that this experimental model combining the use of both the techniques and analysis of the Spatial Syntax theory and the assets of HDR photographs is a tool that can be applied on other architectural spaces.</text>

<text>Several degradations have been observed on the sanitation networks (pipes and manholes) in Ouargla region, because of the qualityof the concrete produced, the type of pipes used, and also the aggressiveness of the external environment. These problems include the carbonation of concrete or the diffusion of carbon dioxide inside the pores of reinforced concrete the sewage system. In this study, they are mading of SRC2 cement concrete specimens, these samples were kept in the real environment (waste water and CO2 gas), and the results were compared to those than of control specimens. They concluded that SRC cement concrete is of low durability in sewage system, and is rapidly degraded by carbon dioxide. Finally, for the specimens exposed to this gas we recorded a regression of 40 % about of compressive strength and also a depth of carbonation that reaches the order of 8 mm at the age of 365 days.</text>

<text>In hot climate areas, the proper understanding of thermal comfort parameters leads to help building designers in providing a suitable and refreshing environment for occupants. The rational model such as ASHRAE 55/2013, ISO: 7730 defines comfort boundaries based on the experimental results, which are conducted in climatic chambers. Research works have been rarely conducted in buildings with high density of occupants like mosques. In order to study the thermal comfort and the effect of air velocity in mosques in hot dry climate, a rational and adaptive comfort study by applying ASHRAE 55, ISO: 7730/10551 is carried out in Eloued city, Algeria. The results show that the applicability of ISO7730 is suitable for a natural air velocity v_air∈[0.35,0.8]m⁄s, where the comfortable operative temperature is 30.7°C. However this outcome doesn’t exceed 26.8°C for air velocity vair< 0.35m/s.</text>

The results obtained indicate that the EO of Satureja montana (S. montana) showed considerableantifungal potential (p < 0.05). Different combinations of EOs have shown great antifungal capacity. S. montana EO showed aminimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 0.30 µl/ml, the combination L. nobilis + S. montana gave a MIC of 0.63 µl/ml, whereasthe combinations P. lentiscus/S. montana; P. lentiscus/L. nobilis/S. montana gave MICs of 2.50 µ/ml. The design of a micro-atmosphere conditioning of fresh strawberries in the presence of S. montana and S. montana/P. lentiscus as bioactive agents for thebiopreservation of fresh strawberries showed that the combination of EO showed a high efficiency against this mold studied and othermolds of strawberries deterioration.</text>

The medianconcentration (CR50) defined as the concentration of the extract necessary to reduce 50 % of the initial concentration of the DPPH●radical, has been used as a parameter to evaluate the efficiency of the extracts in relation to the DPPH●. The results obtained in this work indicate that the crude hydroethanolic extract of Mallotus oppositifolius leaves has the best antioxidant activity (CR50=200.7±0.2 μg/ml) among all the extracts studied. However, this extract is less effective than vitamin C (CR50=136.2±0.3 μg/ml) but more effective than quercetin (CR50=222.1±0.2 μg/ml).</text>

<text>Currently, the global warming has become a planetary problematic and an incontestable urgency that we should imperatively face.Indeed, this phenomenon proves to be a major stake of sustainable development. Because its impacts are not limited to environmentalissues but it could lead to serious socio-economic consequences. Therefore, a reflection has become essential on the actions to beundertaken in order to reduce energy consumption and thus limit the Greenhouse gas emissions responsible for global warming. Thisreminds us of the necessary change in the building sector, especially in terms of housing since it is been considered as the first energyconsumer. It would be therefore time to change our look towards for housing that advocate energy efficiency. Thus, the aim of this article is to evaluate the impact of the thermal inertia of the architectural envelope on energy consumption of the building; in order to contribute to the development of passive solutions allowing design buildings that are less energy intensive and more sustainable. Thereby, we adopt an in vitro analytical approach through a numerical simulation of the energy balance of a prototype of residential building of collective type in a Mediterranean climate in the city of Constantine using TRNSYS software. The results of this study showed that the reinforcement of the thermal inertia, in particular by the use of terracotta brick and cork, has allowed a notable reduction in energy requirements; allowing to consume 84 % less energy than conventional housing against an additional investment cost of only 2 %, offset by a consequent reduction in operating expenses.</text>

<text>An analytical study to predict the behavior of FGM Nano-plates supported by Pasternak elastic foundations based on a theory ofhyperbolic shear strain. Nonlocal elasticity theory is used to introduce the effect of small scale. The influence of the parameters of thegeometry, the foundation stiffness, and the material property are presented. Hence it is unnecessary to use shear correction factors. The governing equations are derived from the principle of virtual work. The free vibration solutions are finally presented for the nonlocalhigher order plate models. The numerical results obtained in the present study for several examples are presented and compared to other models available in the literature.</text>
