عرف النقد الأدبي الأندلسـي تطورا ملحوظا خلال القرنين الرابع والخامس الهجريين، وذلك بالاعتمــــاد على نظيره المشرقي في إرساء قواعده الأولى، إلاّ انه استقل ليثبت وجوده وذاته المتأثرة ببيئته، وهو الأمر الـذي قوى النزعة الأندلسية؛ ومعناهــا اعتزاز الأندلسيين بإبداعاتهم الفكرية والأدبية، والتي بدأت ملامحهـا تظهر في القرن الرابع متجسدة في كتب الطبقات والتراجم، والتي تعبر عـــــن إحساس الأندلسيين بأنفسهم، ليتبلور هــذا الإحساس بشكل أقوى وأكثر فاعلية عند نـــاقد عاش بين أواخـر القــــرن الرابع ومنتصف القرن الخـامس الهجري، وهو الإمـام ابن حــزم الأنـدلسي، الــذي يمثل البنية الحقيقية للشخصية النقدية الأندلسية، إذ هـو وصديقه ابن شهيد كوَّنا الأساس القــوي، والقــاعـدة المتينة لـكثير من الدراسات والقضايا الأدبية، التـــي اتخـذها نقّاد القرن الخامس والقــرون التي تلته منطلقا لأحكامهم، وأساسا لنظرياتهم.
وابن حــزم شخصية عظيمة، دفعها حبها للعلم أن تــرفع رايــة التحدي، وتثري المكتبـة الأندلسيـــة بدراسات كان لها أثرهــا على الحركة الأدبية والنقدية فــــي الأندلس
The andalusian litutatry criticism had known a remarkabl development during the fourth and fifth hijri centuries, and that wa s depending on its eastian counterpart (the eastian litutary criticism) in applyin its basic roots, and then it became independent to prove its existing, and that was the reason behind the increase of the Andalusianism, which means the pride of the Andalusian in their intellectual and literature creativity, This phenomeno emerged during the fourth and fifth centuries in kind of classes and translations books, and then it increased more and more  to be valid to a critic Imam lived in the late of the fourth century and the mid fifth Hijri century, this Imam known as Ibn Hazem, he played an important role in the development of a literature and critical Andalusian school This research aims to reveal the critical vision of Ibn Hazem through his critcs in all literary works, we attempt to discover this great outstanding figure who played a vital role in the florishment of literature in the Arabic and Islamic world . The Andalusian Imam Ibn Hazem who represents one of the greatest Andalusian outstanding figure with his friend Ibn chahid, they create the basis to a lot of studies and literary cases which were considered as a starting point and basis to many theories of the critics in the fifth century and the centuries that follows it.
Ibn Hazem the great outstanding figure, his love to knowledge leads him to rich the andalusian library by his studies which had a great impact on the literary and critics movement in Andalusia also it has the merit for it has the merit for developing an andalusian literary and criticism school.
