يعرف العالم في السنوات الأخيرة اهتماما ملحوظا بالبيئة، بسبب المخاطر غير المسبوقة التي يعاني منها الكوكب الأخضر، والتي ترتبط بسوء استغلال الموارد الطبيعية المتاحة واستنزافها، واعتماد اقتصاديات معظم دول العالم على التصنيع الذي يتطلب المزيد من الاستغلال، وينتج المزيد من النفايات المضرة بالبيئة. إن هذا الاهتمام يتطلب استغلال كل السبل والإمكانيات لنشر الوعي البيئي ودعم ثقافة المحافظة على البيئة، وتعد المدونات الإلكترونية كجزء من الإعلام الجديد من أهم الوسائل التي تملك إمكانيات نشر الوعي والثقافة البيئية، من خلال التحسيس بالمخاطر البيئية التي تهدد عالمنا، وفضح سياسات بعض الدول والشركات المدمّرة للبيئة، وتشجيع المبادرات الفردية والأهلية والدولية لحماية البيئة، ودعم مساعي تحقيق التنمية المستدامة التي تتحقق في إطارها معادلة: ظروف معيشية أفضل للإنسان مع استغلال أمثل لموارد الطبيعة.  ومنه يهدف هذا البحث إلى الكشف عن اهتمام المدونات الإلكترونية العربية بموضوع البيئة وبالقضايا المتصلة بها، عن طريق تحليل عينة من المدونات البيئية العربية. وقد توصلنا إلى جملة من النتائج أهمها: قلة الاهتمام بالموضوعات البيئية والقضايا المرتبطة بالبيئة على مستوى المدونات الإلكترونية العربية، وعليه لا بد من تفعيل هذه الوسيلة في نشر الوعي البيئي
the lack of research and studies on the role of new media and various means and forms in the definition of environmental issues, and the creation and promotion of environmental awareness among the recipient, This research aims to identify the extent of the presence of the environment and issues on tracts of Arab blogging, and the disclosure of the reality and the content of blogs environmental Arab, which is what prompted me to ask the following questions:
- What is the concept of environmental media, and what are the traditional and new media?
- What are the blogs of Arab environmental advantages, in terms of subject matter, and the charge of it, and objectives, and forms, and effectiveness?
We analyzed the content of a sample of Arab environmental blogs.
We have reached a number of results, the most important of which are: Lack of interest in environmental issues and issues related to the environment at the level of Arab blogs, and therefore this method should be activated in spreading environmental awareness
