يكشف هذا المقال عن اختلاف المنطلقات بين الفلسفة الليبرالية، والفلسفة الإسلامية، ويتجلى هذا الاختلاف في الموقف من مبدأ الاستقلال الذاتي؛ فإذا كانت الفلسفة الليبرالية تعطي للإنسان الحق في تقرير مصيره بنفسه والتصرف على أساس مبادئ عقلية، فإن القرار في الشريعة الإسلامية هو حق لله تعالى، ودور الإنسان يتمثل في التعرف على مراد الله تعالى، والعمل به، ويؤسس الفكر الإسلامي المعاصر هذا الموقف على الاعتقاد بأن المعرفة الإنسانية تتصف بالنسبية، والجزئية ولذلك فالسلوك المبني عليها لا يحقق مصلحة الإنسان، أما علم الله تعالى فكامل، ولذلك فالسلوك المقرر بالوحي يأخذ كل الأبعاد الإنسانية بعين الاعتبار. ولما كانت المشكلات البيوإيتيقية عالمية تمس كل الناس فمن الضروري فتح حوار بين الثقافات المختلفة لتبصير الناس بأفضل الحلول الخادمة للإنسان حاضرا ومستقبلا، وتجاوز الاعتقاد بأن ما وصلت إليه الحضارة الغربية الحديثة هو أفضل ما يمكن أن يصل إليه الإنسان.
 This article reveals the differences between liberal philosophy and Islamic philosophy, and this difference is reflected in the position of the principle of autonomy; if liberal philosophy gives the human right to self-determination and act on the basis of mental principles, the decision in Islamic law is a right to God Almighty, The role of man is to recognize the meaning of God Almighty, and work on it, and establishes contemporary Islamic thought this position is based on the belief that human knowledge is characterized by relativity , and partial and therefore the behavior based on it does not achieve the interest of the human, but the knowledge of God is perfect . A revelation takes all human dimensions into consideration. Since the problems of biotics are global, it affects all people. It is necessary to open a dialogue between different cultures, to show people the best solutions for present and future human beings, and to overcome the belief that modern Western civilization is the best that human beings can reach .
