In addition to articles and essays, reviews of scientific works (Recensions) are a regular feature. The journal publishes several per issue. These reviews, of 500 to 1000 words each, are written by experts who, at the request of the editorial board, are invited to give their opinion on a recently published work.

Once, twice or three times a year, the volumes available for review are circulated via the mailing list. The decision to publish a journal, based on scientific and ethical criteria, rests with the editor and the editorial board. These journals constitute a form of cutting-edge research that is regularly made available to the journal's subscribers. All texts published in the online sections are subject to scientific evaluation by the editorial board of Urban Art Bio Academic Journal.

Peer review is a fundamental element of scientific publication and a process that guarantees the validity and quality of scientific literature. It involves the evaluation of research work by experts (peers) in the field concerned, with the aim of assessing its rigor, coherence and contribution to existing knowledge.

Key aspects of peer review :

Assessment

Peer review is an effective tool for evaluating research, facilitating the selection of high-quality articles for publication.

Quality assurance

Through the process of review and suggested revisions, peer review improves the overall quality of the published article, providing the author with valuable information about his or her research.

Integrity

Peer review supports the integrity of research through the rigor of the process itself. If the article is peer-reviewed, it is examined in detail, so that readers can have confidence in the validity and accuracy of the research they are reading.

Networking

The peer-review system also fosters a sense of community, enabling fruitful interaction and networking within the research community.

At Urban Art Bio, we consider the peer-review process crucial to maintaining the credibility and validity of the research we publish. Despite the challenges, peer review remains the widely accepted method for validating research, and we are committed to the highest standards of scholarship. By engaging expert reviewers, we guarantee the rigor and reliability of published work, fostering trust within the scientific community and beyond.
we adopt Double Anonymous Review in our journals

Also known as "double-blind review", the identity of authors and reviewers is kept secret.

Each manuscript submitted to us undergoes a thorough review process by at least two expert reviewers, who may be volunteer reviewers, members of our review committee or suggested by authors at the time of submission. These reviewers play an essential role in assessing the quality of the manuscript and making recommendations on its suitability for publication.

To ensure an effective and efficient review process, we ask reviewers to :

Respond promptly to invitations to review, based on their understanding of and interest in the manuscript title and abstract.

Suggest other reviewers if they should decline the invitation, ensuring that the manuscript always benefits from an expert point of view.

Request an extension, if necessary, to ensure a thorough and complete review report.

Before starting a review, there are several factors to consider:

Schedule: Reviews should be completed within 7 to 10 days. Please contact the publisher immediately if this deadline cannot be met.

Suitability: If there is a conflict of interest or other reasons that might prevent an objective assessment, please inform the journal editor.

Confidentiality: The contents of the manuscript must not be shared without the publisher's permission. If you suspect misconduct, discuss it only with the editor.

Co-revision: If you are considering collaborating on a revision with a colleague or student, please inform the journal editor in advance.
